Experience Our Saint Louis Park Minnesota Home Renovation Project: See the Stunning Results
Welcome to our Blackstone Project! This home is the quintessential 1.5 story home located in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. This style home is extremely common as the majority of these communities were built in 1940s-1950s.
Most of Saint Louis Park is developed, giving the city very little room to build new, and we see this as a huge opportunity when it comes to finding homes that really just need some love and improvements. Saint Louis Park homes typically sit on lots that average .12-.3 acres making it challenging for additions (but not impossible). However, those two types of renovations cost a pretty penny these days! General contractors are quoting anywhere from $250-$350 per square foot for additions like these and that is before you touch any of the rest of the existing house which almost always needs renovating after an addition.
So, if you are looking to purchase a home in Saint Louis Park, but not sure what it will cost to make the modern updates needed, we’ve got you covered! Pro Tip: Saint Louis Park is very neighborhood and street dependent as far as how the homes are valued. Keep this in mind if you are purchasing a home in this city, as it can be easy to OVER renovate (AKA spend too much) for the area.
Here’s a quick list of updates that we focused on and the average pricing you should expect for labor and materials. This is for a 1.5 story home with roughly 2,000 total square feet. This excludes permits and contractor management fees. Understand that if you want a contractor to handle selecting materials, getting them to the home, and managing the scheduling and hiring of all subcontractors, you will pay additional for this (usually 15%-25% of the the total renovation you plan on doing).
