Get Your Front Porch Ready for Halloween with These Creative Decor Ideas

Some might think I'm a little crazy for putting up fall decor starting Labor Day weekend, but I just love seeing how excited our little ones get over this!

I like to keep things really simple, and truly believe in the saying: LESS IS MORE. I picked up a few pumpkins and mums located at Doehlings Country Side Farmers Market located in Minnetonka. I plan to stock up on more pumpkins as we get closer to October. They say that pumpkins last about a month on the front porch once they are cut from the vine. A carved Jack-O-Lantern usually lasts between 1-2 weeks depending on the temperature.

Above is last year’s front porch decor, but this year we decided to switch things up a bit. Not only did we paint the front door from black to peach, but we also added the cutest little bats.

I ordered the bats off of amazon, and although they are cheap paper material, they work well in porches where the weather won’t disturb them. The bats come with a super simple sticky pad that you add to each bat and place individually. You could get by with one order, but I wanted to fill in a few smaller bats to make it easier to see from far away. The bats are $9.99 on amazon.

Some people like to swap out doormats for holidays, but I prefer to save money by using the same doormat year-round. I added texture by adding a large doormat underneath the 'hi' doormat that I found at Hobby Lobby & Target.

I hope this gives you some inspiration for the fall season! Tag us @adamandbrithomes as we would love to see your fall porch decor!
